For a few years now I’ve been making short films from my photographs, set to poetry and music. I record a piano track over bass and drum parts built on each tune’s chord sequence, then add my voice reciting the poem. I leave space for solos — professional musicians record their parts remotely — then mix it all, adding reverb where needed, and search my archive for the photographs that make the film. Sometimes the other musicians film themselves playing, and that goes into the final cut.
