RUSHOLME HERITAGE PROJECT

‘Documenting everyday life in The Curry Mile’

We are a small group of local photographers and artists working within the Rusholme community, documenting and recording the everyday life of this vibrant area of Manchester

The Curry Mile has national and international fame as a restaurant and leisure hub, but is also home to a great many businesses, shops and community groups as well as being home to residents of diverse ethnic origin.

The project aims to capture portraits, stories & social events via mixed media (photography, film, sketches and recordings) throughout 2018.  Part of our aim is to secure funding for an exhibition and permanent archive for all to enjoy as a lasting legacy of a ever changing and evolving community.
