Talks / Lectures
I have 4 talks:-
1. Photographing Musicians – Background, stories and tips on taking portraits of musicians both in live performance and in my home studio. I will also show my ARPS panel which consists, entirely of Musician portraits. I have a number of help /tips handouts available.
2. Salford – Photographing Urban Change. I started this on going project in 1977. I show my early documentary photographs of the Ordsall and Langworthy areas of Salford and as a contrast, more recent images. I also include several short video clips of recent interviews of some people I have tracked down that  I photographed 38 years ago.
3. Didsbury Portraits– This ongoing project shows many portraits of artists, musicians, writers and everyday individuals that live in Didsbury, south Manchester. I talk about the background and taking of each environmental portrait, accompanied by several interview video clips which allow these people to expand on their lives and artistic journeys. (Note: this is not ready for a full evening but can be combined with either of the other 2)
4. The Journey & the Destination.  A general talk showing and talking about selected examples from  my landscapes, portraits and project photography
